Exciting Announcement: Winter Is Coming Virtual 5K, Part 2 is Official!

Square

It’s the first day of fall, and you know what that means.

WINTER IS COMING!

I’m running the Walt Disney World Marathon for RODS Racing again this year, and to celebrate and raise funds I’m holding another virtual 5K, so hold on to your hats (and open your wallets for charity).

I’m working with Crown Awards again this year to design medal, and let me tell you, it’s going to be a BEAUT!!

Think: DRAGONS

I’ll put up the registration page as soon as I’ve firmed up the design – Last year we almost sold out 50 entries, but this year I’d love to do MORE and raise more money for RODS Racing, and to that end, I’m putting in place a Group Leader Bonus!

For every person who gets 5 people to sign up, they will get a FREE entry to the race! How do you like them apples?
Grab your friends, grab your family and grab your butts cause this is going to be FUN!

(PS: I still have 3 Winter Is Coming, House Stark medals. I’ll send one your way if you donate at least $10 to my fundraising page http://rodsracing.org/team/tabetha-wells/  and let me know you’ve donated – while supplies last)

  1. I am attempting to make a donation so I can snag one of those House Stark Medals but I am unable to get past the main page. It keeps saying it’s loading to the paypal page but noting happens 🙁 . I will try CC I guess.

    1. Ok! I was able to make a donation to you via CC. 🙂 Hope I’m in time to snag a House Stark Medal! I’m just so excited about this! As well for the announcement of the House Targaryen design medal!!! Thank you for putting this on!

  2. Hey there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had
problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives
for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

    1. I am in the same boat! I’m not super-happy with WordPress. I’ve been doing managed WP through GoDaddy, where my domain name is hosted, and they just revived my site after months of me not being able to even access it. Not sure if I was hacked, or if it was just a chain of updates that never took place (which I thought they were supposed to do automatically with Managed WP, but that’s an annoyance for another day…)
I’m not tech-savvy, so I’ve been taking the path of least resistance since I was busy for a while, but I’m going to start doing a bit more homework. To their credit, GoDaddy was able to fix the problems. But it cost me $80 for the joy of getting my content back.
If I find anything, I’ll update. Let me know if you find anything, too!

What's on your mind?
